Ice Cream Sandwich, and a 7-inch tablet — two things that (for me) that go great together. We got our 7-inch Ainol NOVO7 tablet fresh off the boat, and we’re having a look at “The first Android 4.0 tablet in the world.” We really don’t expect much from these no-name tablets — especially one that retails at less than $100, but the intrigue of Ice Cream Sandwich running natively on one made it too hard to resist.

We don’t normally worry about the really low-end Android tablets floating around out there, because they always seem to disappoint. We had to make an exception when we heard about the X10 AirPad, though. X10 is a company many of us know — they’ve been around forever since 1978 and have sold many a gadget to many a gadget-lover. And since the AirPad checks in at under $200, we figured it might be the one.

If you have an HTC EVO 3D, and have had some issues flashing the TWRP (and be sure to check out Josh’s awesome hands-on and interview with developer agrabren) while using version 1.5 of hboot, our own AC Developer scrosler has whipped up some badassery to help you along. It’s a Windows only tool, but all you need to do is install the USB drivers, and click the button to get TWRP flashed and running. While it works for all versions of hboot, it was designed for and tested with rEVOlutionary S-OFF 1.4 hboot, and 1.5 hboot unlocked with HTC’s unlocking tool.

Looking for your next fix of HTC Amaze 4G information to hold you over until you can place your preorder on Oct. 10? The folks over at TMoNews have obtained a few new videos showing off some of the benchmarks and the browser of the device, along with a whole bunch of new images. While it appears as though the device will have a proprietary charger, the configuration is for the MHL equipped USB port, so a standard micro-USB cable will work just fine. Hit the break for some more images along with the videos.

Qualcomm and partner BSQUARE announced the APQ8060 S3 reference development Dragonboard today. Besides having a cool name that conjures up images of Bruce Lee, it’s a great way for hardware and software developers to work with Qualcomm’s latest and greatest gear without the bulk (and locked hardware silliness) of the typical OEM Android phone. The Dragonboard includes an APQ8060 processor (think the T-Mobile Galaxy S II or HP TouchPad), and two pre-installed daughterboards with sensors and wireless (802.11 b/g/n Wifi and Bluetooth) complete with a full build of Android and all hardware drivers for just $299. Other packages include a 480×800 touchscreen, camera, and earpiece for $199, or you can get the whole bundle for $498.

Just off the truck and into the Android Central Store are the HD docks for the Motorola Droid Bionic. You’ve got two to choose from — here’s the lowdown.
The more basic of the two is the Motorola Standard Dock, seen above and after the break. It’s your standard dock, with a 3.5mm headphone jack in the back, along with a microUSB plug for charging. It also comes with the remote control you see here, so you can work the phone without having to touch it. That means slideshows, music and the like.

New phone needs a new case. It has been this way since the dawn of the smartphone era, and so it shall be until its end. Your HTC EVO 3D is no exception, and for those interested in maximum protection while still maintaining a relatively slim profile, there’s nothing like the Otterbox Commuter for HTC EVO 3D.

Ah, so, the Android Market. We meet again. What apps shall we pluck from the depths this week? Join us after the break for a look off the beaten path. Apps that might not get the attention they deserve, deserve attention nonetheless.
