It’s entirely possible that this Best Buy inventory screen indeed means that the as-yet unannounced Motorola Droid 3 will be in stock July 13, with a possible July 14 release. Yes, it could be true.

The Motorola Droid 3 has shown up in some GLBenchmark 2.0 online results, and they are looking good. Right off the bat — I don’t think benchmark tests are the true mark of user experience (perhaps you’ve read this?). You can only get the real picture by holding and using the device the way you would normally use it. Having said that, the numbers are pretty impressive, and show just how well the OMAP 4 and PowerVR SGX 540 can crunch those triangles.

As we’ve seen many times before, Motorola likes to do up plenty of tutorial videos for new devices when they launch but that may have back fired a little this time around and the unannounced Motorola Droid 3 is the subject of today’s lessons. We’ve seen plenty of images of the device in the past but we now can confirm a few more things about the device without it being rumors.

While this is in no way any indication of an immediate release, seeing the Motorola Droid 3 listed in Verizon’s device management pages means the folks at big red are getting ready for the new slider to make it’s way into stores. We’ve seen pictures of the Droid 3 a few times, but the release date and specs still seem to elude everyone, although we’ve heard dual-core, 4-inch qHD display, and 3G only; sometime in June. This latest piece of the puzzle still doesn’t shed much light on any of it, unfortunately. One thing we do know — it’s coming, and there’s quite a few OG Droid users getting antsy to trade up to a newer model. Not only is that a testament to the longevity of the phone that many feel started it all, but it should also be a hint to Verizon to hurry and help folks spend their money.

Netflix just got itself a little update in the Android Market. First and foremost, new phones are officially supported, with the LG Revolution, Motorola Droid and Casio G’zOne Commando getting access. That brings the total number of supported devices eight, including the Droid Incredible, Nexus One, EVO 4G, T-Mobile G2 and Samsung Nexus S.

It was only a couple of days ago we were reliving the discussions of which devices would be getting Gingerbread eventually — with the clear choices having been the Motorola Droid 2 and the Motorola Droid X. The Gingerbread leaks have arrived for both those devices and with the semi-official confirmations out of the way, it’s no surprise really that Verizon has now posted up the changelog for what is the eventual release of Gingerbread for the Motorola Droid X.
