Direct fulfillment to start July 7

If you’ve got a hankering for the latest iteration of the venerable Motorola Droid, it’s looking more and more likely that we’ll see it here in the next couple of weeks. The latest round of leaked Droid 3 material shows a July 7 direct fulfillment (aka shipping) date, with in-store availability on July 14. Specs remain the same as what we brought you yesterday, with a 4-inch qHD display, dual-core 1GHz processor, five-row sliding keyboard, but no LTE data.

Perhaps you just saw our rundown of the Verizon Motorola Droid 3 specs. Did you catch the Easter egg? According to our leak, it appears that the Motorola Droid 2 Global (and presumably its CDMA-only cousin) — which has seen its Gingerbread update apparently delayed — will finally get Android 2.3 after the launch of the Droid 3.

While you’re waiting for official word about the Motorola Droid 3, and tired of looking longingly at the Motorola Milestone 3, you can start thinking about what accessories you’ll be picking up.  This leaked list from Verizon includes the inductive charging battery door, a 1930mAh extended battery, and a pair of docks — one for multimedia and one for your car. 

Although you can’t really tell from the blurry image above — there is a phone in there and quite frankly we have no idea what, exactly, it is. It’s been suggested that it could be an unannounced Motorola device, but it’s also been suggested that it could quite possibly be the refreshed Motorola Droid Bionic running a newer version of Motoblur.
