Samsung Galaxy Note spotted with AT&T logo

The Samsung Galaxy Note has been spotted in a leaked render with an AT&T logo. The South Korea-based phone maker has already confirmed that the popular device will launch in the United States, but we haven’t yet heard a confirmation from a U.S. carrier. That may all change soon, however; the Consumer Electronics Show kicks off in less than a week and AT&T may make a Galaxy Note-related announcement at the show. The device packs a 5.3-inch display with a 1280 x 800-pixel resolution, an 8-megapixel camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats and a 1.4GHz processor. AT&T’s version of the Galaxy Note will supposedly offer 4G LTE support, too.

Samsung ships 1 million Galaxy Note units and confirms U.S. launch

Samsung recently announced that it has shipped more than 1 million Galaxy Note smartphones. The Galaxy Note, often considered a mix between a tablet and a smartphone due to its size, was first unveiled in September and it features a massive 5.3-inch display with a 1280 x 800-pixel resolution. Other features include a 1.4GHz processor, an 8-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats. Samsung also confirmed Thursday that the Galaxy Note will be released in the United States next year, and early rumors have suggested the phone will make its debut in early 2012 on AT&T with support for LTE. We wouldn’t be surprised if Samsung reveals more about the U.S. version of the Galaxy Note during the Consumer Electronics Show in January.

Apple reportedly has no plans for a 7-inch iPad, iPad 2 price to drop when iPad 3 launches

A number of reports have emerged in recent months claiming that Apple has a new smaller iPad in the pipeline set to launch in 2012. Scheduled to be released in the second half of the year, the slate will reportedly feature a 7.85-inch display and a lower price tag compared to the current iPad 2 model. A new note from Wedge Partners analyst Brian Blair suggests that Apple has no such plans, however, and it will stick to a 9.7-inch panel when it launches new iPad models next year. Read on for more.

Sony Ericsson LT28at specs suggest 4.55-inch, 720p screen, 13MP camera, AT&T LTE

Android Central

We’ve seen leak after leak of the Sony Ericsson Nozomi (aka Xperia Arc HD) over the past couple of months, but now it seems we may have some early details of the device’s American cousin, the as yet nameless LT28at. A Bluetooth SIG listing for the phone, spotted by XperiaBlog, suggests that it’ll sport an impressive list of specifications. Apparently the LT28at will ship with a 4.55-inch 720p Sony Reality Display, a stonking 13 MP back-illuminated camera and LTE support, presumably on AT&T.

Samsung Galaxy Note may be headed to AT&T early next year

The supersized Samsung Galaxy Note may land on AT&T early next year. Pocketnow said Friday that the device could also pack support for AT&T’s 4G LTE network when it does. The Galaxy Note is equipped with a huge 5.3-inch Super AMOLED screen and, due to its size, is often considered the most tablet-like phone on the market. The AT&T version of the device will reportedly be powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8660 processor, as opposed to the 1.4Ghz dual-core Samsung Exynos chip used in the European version, and offers an 8-megapixel camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat and massive 2,500 mAh battery. Unfortunately, rumors suggest the device will run Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) when it launches, as opposed to the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. AT&T and Samsung may announce the U.S. availability during this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in January.

A video tour of the Verizon Galaxy Nexus from another lucky Android Central member

Youtube link for mobile viewing

If you recall, over the weekend a few lucky Android Forums members were able to squeeze a Verizon Galaxy Nexus out of Best Buy a bit early, and guinnkevinr was kind enough to fire up his camera and shoot a few minutes of video for us to drool over.  We know what the engine is under the hood of this one, namely a dual-core TI OMAP and 1GB of RAM, but this shows us how she handles.  Nice and smoothly, that’s how.  Kevin shows off how fluid and quick it is, loads up a game, and we get the see the web browser in action.  It’s well worth checking out while we wait, and when you’re done watching it (over and over) hit the source link and tell Kevin thanks!
