Chinese company Huawei is the latest to find itself on the end of a chase from Microsoft over royalty payments from its Android products.

They confirmed on Monday that “negotiations are in progress” over licensing the patents Microsoft claims Android infringes upon. Victor Xu, Chief Marketing Officer for Huawei said of the news, ”We always respect the intellectual property of companies. But we have 65000 patents worldwide too. We have enough to protect our interests. We are a very important stakeholder in Android.”

It’s hard to see how Huawei may fare better than HTC did in a similar situation, and so the Microsoft train continues to roll along.
